Director of Sales and Business Development Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas Divisions: Plumbing Supply Welding Supply Tool Supply Reports To: CEO About Us We are a collection of three well-established, fourth-generation, regional distribution companies. Falk Plumbing Supply has 12 locations primarily serving the plumbing contractor. Arkansas Welding & Industrial Supply has 4 dedicated locations and 4 hybrid locations serving industrial, medical, and independent contractor clients. The TOOL Source is a single location business serving residential construction contractors. With a strong reputation built on reliable service, expert knowledge, and a wide selection of quality products, we're looking to take our sales operation to the next level with a results-driven, hands-on Director of Sales. Position Overview The Director of Sales and Business Development will lead and oversee all sales operations across three companies, driving revenue growth and strengthening customer relationships. This executive-level role combines strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in the field. The Director will manage three division Sales Managers, set sales strategy, develop key accounts, and actively participate in customer-facing sales activities. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management * Direct, mentor, motivate, recruit, and support three Sales Managers overseeing the Plumbing, Welding, and Tool divisions. * Establish sales goals, KPIs, and performance standards across divisions. * Align division sales strategies with overall company growth objectives. * Conduct regular sales meetings with outside sales representatives to create accountability for ongoing target account prospecting. Business Development * Develop and execute strategies to grow market share across all divisions. * Identify and pursue new business opportunities in plumbing, welding, and tool supply markets. * Maintain strong relationships with key accounts and assist sales teams in closing high-value deals. Hands-On Sales Involvement * Join sales teams on customer visits to build relationships and support deal-making. * Serve as a trusted resource for complex negotiations and strategic accounts. * Hunt for new customers with the goal of handing off new accounts to existing salespeople Cross-Division Collaboration * Work closely with Operations, Purchasing, and Finance to ensure sales strategy is aligned with supply chain, inventory, and profitability goals. * Develop targeted marketing campaigns and promotions. Reporting & Forecasting * Monitor and report on sales performance by division. * Provide accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and growth strategies to company leadership. * Manage commission plans including monthly commission calculations. * Assist in pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and vendor relations. * Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting. * Assist in managing income statement. Qualifications * 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the welding supply, industrial distribution, or manufacturing sectors. * 2+ years of sales leadership or team lead experience. * Strong understanding of either plumbing supplies or welding equipment, gases, and consumables (preferred). * Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving growth. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. * Comfortable with CRM systems and basic sales reporting tools. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region as needed. * Hands-on, customer-focused approach with the ability to both lead and sell.
