Company Information: Ingredients Online, operated by Green Wave Ingredients, is a leading B2B e-commerce marketplace connecting buyers and sellers of raw ingredients across dietary supplements, food & beverage, animal nutrition, and personal care industries. We are revolutionizing ingredient sourcing through digital innovation, global reach, and supply chain transparency. Vice President of Sales -- B2B (Raw Ingredients) The VP of Sales will lead and scale the B2B sales division specializing in raw ingredients (Food & Beverage, Nutraceutical, Cosmetics, Animal Feed Industries). The role is responsible for driving revenue growth from sizeable customers. Building key buyer partnerships & employee relationships, setting strategy, leading execution, and ensuring customer satisfaction & retention. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the intersection of sales, product, operations, marketing, and supply chain. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Growth * Develop and execute a robust sales strategy that leverages the marketplace model to acquire & onboard buyers * Build partnership with decision makers * Target sizeable customers & manage sales process * Set and deliver ambitious sales revenue, margin, and volume growth targets. * Directly Manage Sales Team's Annual Bidding & Blanket orders Strategy Buyer / Customer Acquisition & Retention * Build and scale a sales team (inside sales, account management, enterprise / industrial accounts) medium to large manufacturers * Build Customized Services * Ensure customer satisfaction in purchase cycle: product discovery, cataloging/spec sheets, samples, pricing transparency, logistics, post-sale support. Experience working with International Teams Required * Develop customer success programs: ensure high retention, upsell/cross-sell, feedback loops, and resolve issues quickly. Marketplace & Platform Optimization * Monitor and optimize metrics: conversion rate, average order value, time-to-order, supplier fill rates, delivery performance. * Drive continuous improvement via data analytics: use sales data, customer behavior, market intelligence to refine strategy. Financial & Operational Oversight * Own the P&L for the sales function: revenue forecasting, margin management, cost of acquisition, commission structures. * Set and monitor KPIs and dashboards: pipeline growth, win rate, customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, churn, supplier churn, etc. * Budgeting, hiring, training, and performance management of the sales organization. * Coordinate with operations, supply chain, and regulatory to ensure sourcing, logistics, quality control etc. support sales goals. Leadership & Team Management * Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Sales Account Managers & Sales Managers. Domestic & International * Collaborate Cross Departmentally to achieve results, QA, Marketing, HR, Lead Generation, Customer Service, Product Souring, Product Management * Foster a culture of accountability, data-driven, on making, collaboration, customer focus. * Serve as a representative at industry conferences, trade associations, regulatory bodies as needed. Required Qualifications * Experience: 10-15+ years in B2B sales leadership, ideally in the Raw Materials, Food & Beverage, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, and Animal Feed Industries * Education: Bachelor's degree or higher * Track Record: Demonstrated success growing revenue, managing supplier & customer relationships, scaling teams, launching new channels. * Comparable Industries- Food & Beverage Industries, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, Animal Feed Industries * Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to use data to inform strategy, decisions, and trade-offs. Comfortable with forecasting, margin analysis, and financial modeling. * Leadership & Communication: Ability to inspire, hire, develop, and retain top talent. Strong stakeholder management (internal & external). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred / Nice-to-Have * MBA or advanced degree in business, supply chain, food science, chemistry, or related field. * Multinational / international sales experience.. * Fluency in additional languages or working in multi-cultural/regulatory environments. * Knowledge of sustainability, sourcing ethics, traceability, and ESG in raw materials. * Technical/Regulatory Knowledge-Raw Ingredients, Food & Beverage, Nutraceuticals, Cosmetics, Animal Feed Industries * CRM-HubSpot, NetSuite & other comparable CRM tools Core Competencies & Traits * Customer Focused; always thinking about how to deliver value for buyers. * Negotiator & deal closer, comfortable navigating complex deals. * Results-oriented; large goals, high energy to push through obstacles. * Adaptable & resilient; raw ingredients markets are often cyclical, regulated, and supply constrained. * Collaborative; must work well cross-functionally (product, operations, marketing, supply chain, finance). * Integrity, transparency; especially around quality, sourcing, safety, and compliance.
