POSITION DESCRIPTION The construction business development professional has years of proven experience in construction and is responsible for the relationship management of the lead generation pipeline reporting. The ideal candidate can work and communicate in a social environment with new and existing clients, architects, developers, and subcontractors to discuss and evaluate potential construction projects. Additionally, this role is accountable for building a presence across key markets and positioning Builder's United as the contractor of choice by cultivating high-value partnerships, creating strategic alliances, and aligning our strategic advantages with client objectives. Volunteer, attend and set up (showcase booths, mixers or monthly breakfasts, golf tournaments, industry association committees, etc.) to cultivate and foster customer relationships. * Work with a cross-functional team consisting of Estimating, Project Development, and Project Management team members to ensure consistent message and goals throughout the company. * Setup client folders and job contact lists within Company Files. * Consistently maintain and update leads and deals list. * Data mine plan rooms, vendor contacts and subcontractor contact for new opportunities. * Collaborate with Field Superintendents, Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure repeat business from existing clients. * Develop campaigns that focus on new private sector clients and projects. * Conduct new client searches and updates with the BD team. * Lead the sales process in assisting with proposals, negotiating and closing deals. * Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs and competitor activities. * Initiate "Lost Project" follow up meetings. * Champion Builders United's value-add services, strategic advantages and CMAR capabilities during client meetings and industry presentations. * Maintain regular direct communication with Sales, Operations and Ownership Teams on state of pipeline through Weekly monitoring, logging, and reporting on the status of multiple leads. * Assist with following up with the Clients/ Owners on open proposals/ bid opportunities. * Assist in Project Turnover meetings, descope sessions, subcontractor bid leveling, pre-bid RFIs, contract details, scope of work, and schedule reviews. * Attend job walks to answer questions from Estimating, Project Management, and Field teams. * Clarify and archive project bid files upon completion. * Perform additional assignments per manager's direction. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS * Weekly monitoring and maintaining office bid opportunities. * Deliver Qualified Leads to achieve company marketing, branding and client targets. * Acquire Sales to achieve company annual Sales targets. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS * 3-5 years professional construction experience on Public Works and specialty commercial building projects. * People skills are essential; able to establish trust, confidence, and relationships quickly through excellent writing, oral presentation skills, creativity, and strong problem-solving skills. * Professional in actions and appearance. Thorough and detail oriented. * Strong knowledge of computer software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Dodge, ZoHo, Quest CDN & CMD) * Understand bid documents, construction contracts, architectural plans and specifications, and comply with all state contracting laws. * Demonstrated proficiency in the areas of: marketing, social networking, lead generation, pipeline management, sales, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. * Excellent organizational skills and organizational responsibility. Ability to estimate conceptual projects, build schedules, read construction plans, do takeoffs, organize project lists quickly and efficiently. * Excellent English reading/ writing skills to compile and articulate in-depth descriptions and summaries. * Be articulate, communicative, and professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with Project Team, Management, vendors, subcontractors, and clients. * Ability to handle multiple leads and customers simultaneously; exceptional organizational skills are required; punctuality and the ability to meet designated deadlines is critical * Candidate must always maintain the highest level of confidentiality and possess the ability to properly handle sensitive materials concerning the organization. * Must be able to walk outdoor construction sites with uneven terrain and obstacles. * Valid Nevada Driver's license Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) 4% Match * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Professional development assistance * Vision insurance Ability to Commute: * Las Vegas, NV 89118 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Las Vegas, NV 89118: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
