Senior Event Sales Manager Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards - Easton Porter Group Charlottesville, VA Full-Time Exempt About Us Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is part of the Easton Porter Group, a luxury hospitality collection known for elevated guest experiences, exceptional culinary programs, and thoughtful service. We are looking for a Senior Event Sales Manager who brings passion, hospitality leadership, and a commitment to delivering world-class events--from high-end weddings to private milestone celebrations. Position Summary The Senior Event Sales Manager identifies and secures event sales leads, manages incoming inquiries, and owns the full client lifecycle from booking to execution. This role builds meaningful relationships with clients, delivers best-in-class service, and ensures flawless coordination between sales, operations, culinary, and service teams. You will define and communicate the value of the Pippin Hill brand, delivering unforgettable events while driving revenue goals. This is a full-time, exempt leadership role with significant responsibility and visibility. What You 'll DoLeadership & Department Responsibilities * Lead the Event Sales team (currently 5 direct reports) and model Pippin Hill's hospitality standards. * Partner with the General Manager on forecasting and pacing to meet sales and revenue goals. * Collaborate with Culinary and Finance on menu pricing and product development. * Lead new hire training as needed. * Direct all Marketing meetings and contribute to the creation of sales collateral. * Attend key networking events (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, CCWEP). * Conduct quarterly sales reviews, including trend analysis and action planning. Client Communications & Sales Responsibilities * Own the entire sales cycle--from lead initiation through booking, planning, and execution. * Communicate proactively with clients, guiding them through decision-making, expectations, timelines, contracts, and financials. * Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with wedding and private event clients. * Identify client priorities, navigate objections, and close business with confidence. * Collaborate with operations, culinary, and service teams to align client expectations with operational capacity. * Meet or exceed established booking goals and seasonal strategies. * Respond to and resolve client concerns in partnership with operations. * Report on revenue goals and year-over-year pacing. Administrative & Planning Responsibilities * Conduct sales calls, property tours, prepare estimates, and manage invoicing details. * Lead Wedding Tastings, guiding clients through final menu and wine selections. * Develop detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and communicate event specifics internally. * Participate in weekly BEO meetings to review upcoming events with the team. * Support event-day execution alongside the operations team. * Complete final billing, ensuring accuracy in all line items and reconciliation. Qualifications * Minimum 5 years of proven sales success in weddings, events, or hospitality. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. * Detail-oriented, quantitatively minded, and highly organized. * Self-motivated, eager to learn, and committed to delivering exceptional service. * Ability to stand 8-12 hours and lift up to 40 lbs. * Ability to carry trays of food and beverages. * Accurate currency-handling ability.
