Circa Hospitality Group JOB SUMMARY: The Banquet Set Up team oversees all aspects of a banquet or event, including meeting room table/chair set-ups and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Responsible for all meeting room table setup configurations. Ex: classroom, hollow square, u-shape, etc * Must be able to read a banquet event order (BEO) and follow instructions listed on BEOs and room diagrams * Must be able to push table carts that hold anywhere from 5-10 tables at a time as well as move banquet chairs with dollies * Opening and closing various airwalls to meeting rooms * Coordinates with other departments with maintaining the cleanliness of all meeting rooms * Able to work independently at times and also with team members at other times * Is onsite for the duration of all banquet events * Responsible for setting out linens on tables for events as well as tracking dirty linen bins when out for cleaning * Light cleaning/bussing tables over larger events or special events to assist the Catering team * Available to work days, nights, and some weekends/holidays QUALIFICATIONS: * Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form. * Understand and comply with all company, departmental and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures. * Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift to include weekends and holidays * Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationship with Team Members * Must be at least 21 years of age EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * Convention setup experience preferred but not mandatory * High school diploma or GED equivalent * Ability to communicate in English PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: * Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols * Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds to be able to perform duties as needed DISCLAIMER This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
