Job Title: IB Pet Sales Associate Location: IB Pet, Del Mar Position: 12-25 hours / week Responsibilities: As a Sales Associate you will be responsible for the following items: * Providing excellent customer service at all times and ensuring fellow staff members do the same. * Keep the store clean and neat at all times. * Receiving of items as directed. Assist with breaking down pallets. * Stock shelves and move products up to 40 pounds in weight. * Follow directions (written, email, verbal) from Managers, Assistant Managers and Owners. * Make good decisions in the absence of higher ranking staff members. * Always complete assigned tasks and stay busy, even if staying past your shift is required. * Assist the Inventory and Receiving Manager with inventory and expiration duties. * Handle drawer cash counting and reporting as directed. * Strive to become an expert on pet nutrition and complete training on knowledge center. * Maintain a professional appearance and conduct business in a professional manner with customers, vendor representatives and other staff members. * Maintain a team atmosphere that is respectful and produces a great work environment. * Be the best salesperson possible, learn and pass on sales techniques to other staff members. This job's duties also encompass any other task that may arise during your employment at IB Pet. Qualifications: * Strong customer service skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment * Experiece with stocking and merchandising * Proficiency in using cash registers and handling transactions * Excellent communication and organizational skills * Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities Benefits: * Eligible for 25% off employee discount on pet food and supplies. * Eligible to participate in IB Pet, Inc.
