Sales Assistant Summary of Position The Sales Assistant function is a sales-service supporting role with potential to progress into a Salesperson role, provided the individual shows a compatible attitude and profile. This position interacts professionally with customers, suppliers and co-workers in a mentored environment designed to prepare the employee for future growth. Responsibilities and Duties As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected by the Sales Assistant. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require. * Use proper phone etiquette and courtesy with customers. * Analyze and compare clients' POs vs. respective Sales Orders to ensure consistency. * Research and follow up on late customer orders, reporting back to the Sales Team. * Assist the Sales Team in getting quotes and lead times from approved vendors. * Generate Sales Reports. * Verify and process Purchase Orders (POs) related to Long Term Agreements (LTA). * Gather and share marketplace intelligence with management and sales personnel. * Represent Sunshine Metals Inc. with professionalism and integrity. * Prepare work according to priority and with moderate supervision while keeping in mind the financial goals and quality objectives of the company. * Correspond and interact with customers using professional verbal and written communication skills. Required Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent * One or more years of experience in sales supporting roles. * Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, and time management skills * Ability to effectively multi-task * Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with customers/suppliers * Strong work ethic; initiative-taking * Reside in the Las Vegas Area. This is a full-time on-site position. Preferred Qualifications * Experience working with Metal distribution and/or Metal Processing companies. * Familiarity with Alluminum Alloys specifications. * Two or more years of experience in an office environment.
