Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Optical Sales Associate to join our team. This person will assist patients with selecting eyewear, provide exceptional customer service, and support daily operations in the optical department. Responsibilities Patient & Customer Service * Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming environment * Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on style, lifestyle, and prescription needs * Educate patients on lens options, insurance benefits, and promotions * Provide excellent customer service from first interaction to product pickup Optical & Sales * Ensure proper frame fit and perform minor eyewear adjustments * Upsell lens coatings and premium products by explaining benefits * Process eyewear orders accurately and efficiently * Maintain organized displays and ensure the optical area is clean and inviting Administrative Support * Verify and explain vision insurance benefits * Process payments and manage point-of-sale transactions * Assist with scheduling, patient communication, and follow-up as needed * Support inventory management, including frame counting and restocking Qualifications Required: * Strong customer service and communication skills * Positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * High school diploma or equivalent * Retail or sales experience Preferred (but not required): * Previous optical experience * Knowledge of vision insurance (VSP, EyeMed, etc.) We are willing to train the right person!
