Position Summary: The Insurance Sales Data Support Specialist will provide the VP of Client Strategy & Alternative Risk Solutions (direct supervisor) and the company's insurance sales teams with administrative support, organizational support, and advanced support in managing and presenting sales and operations data. This role focuses on maintaining and developing spreadsheets with advanced utility, automation, and formatting. Insurance quote data will be developed into accurate and professional presentation materials for use by insurance salespersons. Census and claims data will be transferred with accuracy and automation into spreadsheets which must conform to a variety of strict data representation/formatting requirements from our business partners. Key Responsibilities: * Create and maintain spreadsheets tracking client information, quotes and proposal details * Enhance existing spreadsheet templates/designs with advanced, robust formulae and a cohesive, functional aesthetic design * Develop new spreadsheet templates with the same characteristics * Prepare other documents and data summaries supporting sales efforts for internal use or client presentations Additional Responsibilities: * Program Microsoft Word Mail Merge Templates (form letters, etc.) for the import of data from Excel spreadsheets; assist staff in using Templates, as needed * Develop user-friendly software (e.g., QT interface) for internal use by staff, e.g., accepting user-entered data and generating bespoke spreadsheets/PDFs; assist staff in using software, as needed Required Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED) * Proficiency in spreadsheet software (functions, formatting, sorting/filtering), preferably Microsoft Excel * Functional comprehension of the fundamentals of health insurance Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in software development, preferably in languages with official/well-supported bindings/integration with QT (C++, Python, QML); experience with QT is a plus * Demonstrably advanced comprehension of health insurance, e.g., having passed a state sales licensing exam Skills: * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting/recordkeeping * Algorithm development * Obtaining effective support and guidance from LLM generative AI (e.g. ChatGPT) as appropriate/needed to rapidly develop advanced Excel formulae, Office Scripts and other software code, in lieu of expert-level coding skills/knowledge * Strong written and verbal communication * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Performance metrics: * Accuracy, timeliness, completeness, utility and clarity of deliverables * Responsiveness to requests from the direct supervisor and their colleagues * Adherence to processes Job Type: Permanent Pay: $48,376.02 - $65,000.11 per year Work Location: In person
