Overview

- READ COMPLETELY We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator Shop Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, metalworking and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various tools and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality metal products that meet industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to sell and market sheet metal custom fabrication.
• CNC operations.
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques including Spot welding
• Operate plasma cutting equipment to shape and cut metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE!
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for metal fabrication tasks
• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with codes and quality standards. Pride in work is a must.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions
• Collaborate with team members on projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks
• Safely operate forklift for lifting heavy materials during the fabrication process
• Fabricate ductwork and other metal components as required by project specifications

Qualifications

• Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field
• Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly Spot Welding
• Familiarity with plasma cutting processes and how to use table, Pittsburgh Machine and burn table equipment
• CNC experience required
• Must be able to make square to rounds, transitions and square duct.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Must be computer and technical savvy.
• Inventory Control Experience
• Time and Material Billing experience
• Estimating
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to metal fabrication
• Experience using power tools, hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work

• The budget on projects will be your responsibility to manage. If we lose money on jobs quoted, you will not have a job. Managing the teams productivity and labor hours is essential. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $24.06 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 - 45 per week
