Overview - READ COMPLETELY We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator Shop Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, metalworking and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various tools and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality metal products that meet industry standards. Responsibilities * Must be able to sell and market sheet metal custom fabrication. * CNC operations. * Perform welding tasks using various techniques including Spot welding * Operate plasma cutting equipment to shape and cut metal components * Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications. THIS IS NON-NEGOTIABLE! * Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for metal fabrication tasks * Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with codes and quality standards. Pride in work is a must. * Use measuring instruments such as calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions * Collaborate with team members on projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks * Safely operate forklift for lifting heavy materials during the fabrication process * Fabricate ductwork and other metal components as required by project specifications * Must be organized and treat this business as your own. Qualifications * Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field * Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly Spot Welding * Familiarity with plasma cutting processes and how to use table, Pittsburgh Machine and burn table equipment * CNC experience required * Must be able to make square to rounds, transitions and square duct. * Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately * Must be computer and technical savvy. * Inventory Control Experience * Time and Material Billing experience * Estimating * Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to metal fabrication * Experience using power tools, hand tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments * Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated * Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work * Must be organized and treat this business as your own.
