Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with sales and merchandising efforts. This role offers an opportunity to develop retail skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers. Duties * Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately * Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries * Conduct product demos to promote features and benefits of items * Upsell products and suggest complementary items to increase sales * Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity * Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive store appearance * Assist with merchandising and inventory management, including stocking new products * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly * Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors * Support supervising staff during peak hours or busy periods as needed Skills * Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures * Previous supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership abilities * Ability to conduct product demos effectively to engage customers * Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse clientele * Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members * Excellent customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor * Basic math skills for handling transactions, retail math, and cash handling accurately * Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations is preferred * Upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities * Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication in a retail setting Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 32.0 per week Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
