Full description of the position

GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Business Development Professional to work in Lafayette, LA. The pay rate is between $52- 72 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with occasional overtime. A truck allowance and company cell phone will be provided, along with bonus and incentive compensation ranging from 10-25%. Position Summary: The Business Development Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities that align with the company's strategic growth objectives, with a focus on expanding into the industrial construction market. This role involves market research, relationship development, and coordination with internal teams to position the company for successful project acquisition. Emphasis is placed on cultivating relationships with industrial clients, tracking upcoming opportunities, and supporting the development of proposals and presentations. Key Responsibilities: * Research, identify, and evaluate potential opportunities in industrial construction markets, including refineries, chemical plants, ports, manufacturing facilities, and related infrastructure. * Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company goals. * Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands. * Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including owners, engineers, project managers, and procurement teams. * Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads. * Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients during the pre-construction phase. * Collaborate with estimating, project management, and executive teams to prepare competitive and compelling proposals. * Participate in bid strategy development and lead proposal presentations or client interviews. * Maintain accurate and current CRM records of prospects, leads, and opportunities. * Work closely with internal departments to align business development efforts with operational capacity and strategic priorities. * Provide regular reporting on BD activities, pipeline status, and key performance indicators (KPIs). * Act as a liaison between client expectations and project execution capabilities. * May be assigned other duties, as necessary. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). * 5+ years of experience in business development or project management within heavy highway, civil, or industrial construction industries. * Valid Driver's License. * Existing network within the industrial market in the Gulf Coast region is a strong plus. * Strong understanding of public and private procurement processes. * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction industry tools. * Must be willing to submit to a drug screening and MVR. Physical Requirements: This position involves regular physical activity, including: * Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections. * Standing and sitting at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods. * Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. * Pushing and pulling heavy objects. * Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds at a time.
