Contract Sales Rep - TopHands TopHands provides reliable local crew staffing for live events, production companies, experiential marketing agencies, and AV teams. We're looking for a contract sales rep with experience in the event and production industry to help us grow through outbound sales. If you've never sold anything, this job is not for you. The ideal candidate probably enjoys listening to the occasional business podcast and has read a book on business in the past 12 months. Some of the leads will be warm. But your main job is to go after new business. So you'll need to have an understanding of the general touring or AV market, and you should be excited to make new connections and share how our services can benefit them. This job may require you to be on zoom calls, actually talk to humans on the phone, and possibly even meet customers face to face over a coffee or lunch. We'll of course compensate you for your time and any expenses you incur. And when you close a deal, not only will we jump up and down in celebration, but we'll also give you commission on that account for the life of the customer...and as long as you're still working with us. What You 'll Do * Outbound sales to production companies, AV vendors, event producers, venues, and agencies. Basically anyone setting up an event in specific areas of the US. * Book and run sales calls * Build relationships and close service-based deals * Commit a few hours each week to outreach and meetings * Meet with CEO weekly to discuss sales strategy and targets Compensation * Small base retainer paid weekly * Plus a commission on all closed business Who We're Looking For * Experience selling services (though if you have any experience in outside sales, you should apply) * Solid understanding of the live events / AV / production industry * Comfortable with outbound sales and relationship-based selling * Organized, professional, and self-motivated * Practical knowledge of CRM * Kind and enjoyable to work with And Ideally You'd have * Existing relationships in the production or event space * Experience with staffing or labor services * Relationships or understanding of hotel event teams/processes If you've sold services in the event or production world and enjoy relationship-driven sales, we'd love to hear from you!
