Purpose: To lead by example on the sales floor, support the daily operations of the store, and guide the team during assigned shifts while upholding Pigment's values and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Core Responsibilities Leadership & Team Support * Act as Manager on Duty when assigned, ensuring store operations run smoothly. * Lead and motivate the team during shifts, ensuring excellent customer service and productivity. * Provide on-the-spot coaching and feedback to team members to support development. * Model Pigment's service and operational standards in all actions. Sales & Customer Experience * Deliver warm, relational customer service and expert product knowledge. * Drive sales through engagement, suggestive selling, and maintaining strong floor presence. * Assist with training new team members on service expectations, policies, and procedures. Operations & Merchandising * Support opening/closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reporting. * Assist with building and maintaining schedules that reflect business needs and staffing priorities. * Help maintain accurate inventory levels and participate in stock counts and replenishment. * Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards. Communication & Accountability * Communicate clearly with Store and Assistant Managers about team performance, operational issues, and customer feedback. * Demonstrate strategic agility during shifts--adjusting priorities and workflows based on real-time business needs. * Uphold all company policies, safety protocols, and operational guidelines. Performance Expectations * Support leadership in achieving sales and operational goals. * Maintain smooth, efficient, and well-organized daily operations. * Consistently model Pigment's values and service standards. * Be dependable and take ownership of responsibilities and assigned tasks. * Demonstrate readiness to step into leadership duties during assigned shifts. * Ensure strong communication and collaboration among team members while on duty. Skills & Qualifications * 1+ year of retail experience (some leadership or keyholder experience preferred). * Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Enthusiasm for plants, curated goods, and design-focused retail. * Ability to coach peers, lead by example, and stay calm under pressure. * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods. Availability on weekends, holidays, and during peak retail periods.
