G.S. Gelato, a national manufacturer of authentic Italian gelato, sorbet, and non-dairy frozen desserts, is seeking a Key Account Specialist to support our expanding foodservice division. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys researching new opportunities, connecting with potential partners, and thinking creatively about where our products can thrive. What You 'll Do * Research and qualify new leads, especially within restaurant chains, multi-unit operators, and emerging concepts. * Identify creative opportunities outside traditional foodservice where frozen desserts can add value (hospitality, entertainment venues, specialty retailers, corporate dining, etc.). * Make quality cold calls and cold emails, introducing our products with a polished, professional approach. * Follow up consistently to keep conversations progressing. * Maintain detailed CRM notes, tasks, and communication logs. * Support sales leadership with organized lead summaries and insights. * Travel to trade shows, industry events, and occasional customer visits (approx. 20%). * Submit travel and related expenses accurately and on time. * Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing accounts. What You Bring * Strong communication skills and confidence on the phone. * Excellent organization, follow-through, and attention to detail. * Ability to research companies, identify decision-makers, and assess fit quickly. * Creative, out-of-the-box thinking about potential partners and new channels. * Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred). * Foodservice experience preferred, especially familiarity with restaurant chains or multi-unit operations. * Customer service or sales support experience is a plus. * Positive, proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
