Job Title Sales Representative - Horticulture & Cannabis Grow Lighting About the Role: We are a fast-growing company in the horticulture and cannabis cultivation lighting industry, seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our team. This role requires a solid understanding of horticultural practices--especially within cannabis grow environments--and a passion for providing tailored lighting solutions to both retail and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of managing the full sales cycle--from prospecting and cold outreach to closing and after- sales support. Experience in selling horticultural equipment, grow lights, or similar B2B solutions is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: * Proactively present and sell our horticultural lighting solutions to new and existing customers (includes cold calling and inbound lead follow-up). * Identify and reach out to potential clients, including garden centers, hydroponic stores, commercial grow operations, and hardware/lighting retailers. * Educate customers on applicable state rebate programs and help them navigate the process. * Prepare quotes, write sales orders, and communicate rebate fund availability and project timelines. * Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets within specified deadlines. * Coordinate internally with Customer Service and Project Management to ensure smooth project execution. * Maintain and manage a CRM database, setting regular follow-ups to build lasting customer relationships. * Conduct product demonstrations and explain technical capabilities to customers. * Relay customer feedback and product improvement suggestions to internal teams. * Document all sales activities and provide regular performance updates to management. Qualifications: * Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, preferably in horticulture, agriculture, or cannabis grow lighting. * Working knowledge of indoor/outdoor horticultural practices and grow light technologies. * Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively. * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to multitask. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident, professional demeanor. * Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Creative problem-solver with the ability to offer tailored solutions based on client needs. Compensation & Benefits: * Full-time employment with earning potential ranging from $40,000 to $200,000+/year. * Onboarding and training period: 1-3 months. * Benefits package and advancement opportunities discussed during the interview process.
