For over 50 years, Precious Metals Refinery (PMR) has been buying and selling diamonds, jewelry, gold, silver, platinum, watches, and coins. After working with us for three months, candidates with prior management experience, or anyone who demonstrates consistent excellence, will be invited to take our comprehensive skills exam. Upon successful completion, you will receive a promotion, pay raise, additional benefits, and new opportunities within the company. *$20.00.-$21.00/hr. Position is bonus eligible every pay period, after first 6 weeks of training Bonus pool for 2025 was approximately more than $10,000.00 YTD (current employees; newly eligible employees received a pro-rated bonus amount) Requirements: * Previous experience in retail (jewelry experience a big plus), customer service, or other related fields * Experience with cash handling * Ability to build rapport with customers * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * A positive, happy, and genuine customer-focused approach to delivering an exceptional customer experience * Unwavering integrity and honesty with strong work ethic and morals * Fast learner and detail oriented * Computer knowledge * Works well with others * Strong organizational skills * Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment * Must be able to lift and move heavy objects. 50 pounds or more. * Must be able to work at different locations in the area. * 7 - 8 hour shifts. * Willingness to travel between stores Responsibilities : * Buying & Selling Jewelry, Silver, Gold, Diamonds, Watches * Welcome customers and answer questions with a friendly, positive attitude * Keeping the workplace clean and tidy so it is inviting for guests * Confidently analyze pieces that customers bring in, handling fragile items with care * Showing guests valuable pieces of jewelry and coins * Following up with customers post sale to build rapport, bringing further business opportunities * Handle equipment daily, such as scale, digital microscope, diamond testing and evaluation tools, acid testing and x-ray equipment. All tools must be handled with care * Preparing necessary documents for appropriate departments * Follow specific directions and protocols PMR benefits are as followed: * 5 sick days (40 hours) available to use after 90 days of employment * 5 days' vacation (40 hours) starts to accrue after 90 days of employment * Vacation increases after 2 years to 7 vacation days, 4 years to 9 vacation days, 6 years to 11 vacation days, 8 years to 13 vacation days * Vacation accrual is based on how many years you have been with the company as of your start date anniversary, and follows this schedule: 2 years to 7 vacation days, 4 years to 9 vacation days, 6 years to 11 vacation days, 8 years to 13 vacation days. * 6 paid holidays after 90 days of employment * Health insurance benefits are available to eligible employees the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. PMR offers to pay half of the medical insurance premium for employee only. * Dental and vision benefits are also available for enrollment at this time. * HSA available * Vacation time will carry over to the following year. Sick time will not. * Commission pool participation. *Criminal background check required *Must be able to provide current driver's license. Store hours are Monday-Friday 10:00am- 5:00pm *$20.00.-$21.00/hr.
