Full description of the position
JOB SUMMARY: The Sales Manager is responsible for actively selling events to include weddings, social, corporate catering, and various group segments for Foley Hospitality US-based hotels for accounts in the Pacific Northwest and Idaho, as well as cultivating relationships and driving revenues from travel agencies in the Pacific Northwest region into the Foley Hospitality hotels. Responsibilities also include solicitation of new customer relationships and negotiation of business through proposal and contracts to close business and fostering all internal customer relationships to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the contracting and post-event/repeat phases of client event lifespan. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Expectation of time spent will be as follows: o 30% wedding and corporate catering sales o 40% group sales for Foley Hospitality US-based hotel o 30% cultivating travel agency revenues for Foley Hospitality hotels * Handling the review, proposal, negotiation and contracting of inbound inquiries in designated market segment(s). * Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel including guestrooms, room rental, food and beverage, and other revenue generating opportunities. * Support and promote team accountability to drive superior business results, including successful execution of Sales strategies and business processes. * Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual Sales booking goals through proactive sales efforts via telephone, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication. * Negotiate effectively to achieve maximum revenue for hotels while meeting and/or exceeding client's needs. * Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events and hosting clients on property. * Execute and support the administrative aspects of booked business (proposals, contracts, customer correspondence), resolves any issues, complaints, or problems to ensure a quality product delivery and customer satisfaction. REQUIRED SKILLS: * Must be proficient in event contractual agreements, strategic negotiations, quoting pricing, and the management of accounts. * Proven track record of building and maintaining business relationships that result in meeting or exceeding Sales booking goals. * Ability to think clearly, quickly, and strategically to make concise decisions. * Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to prioritize and organize workload to ensure deadlines are met. * Knowledge of local market trends and industry best practicesFoley Hospitality
