LOCAL ADVERTISING SALES REPRESENTATIVE Community Newspapers | Medfield, MA (In Person) Hometown Weekly Newspapers is a locally owned publisher serving Needham, Medfield, Dover, Sherborn, Westwood, Wellesley, and Walpole. Our papers are mailed weekly to every household in the communities we cover. We are hiring a Local Advertising Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with small and mid-sized local businesses. This is a community-based, relationship-driven sales role , not a high- pressure call-center job. About the Role You will work directly with local business owners to help them advertise effectively in our print and digital publications. This role combines account management with new business development and offers room to grow. You'll be based out of our Medfield office and spend time in the communities we serve. Responsibilities * Sell print and digital advertising to local businesses * Manage and grow an existing base of advertising accounts * Prospect and develop new clients through outreach, referrals, and community presence * Meet with advertisers in person, by phone, and by email * Coordinate ad schedules and renewals * Work closely with production staff to ensure ads run correctly and on time What We're Looking For Required: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Comfortable speaking with business owners and decision-makers * Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple accounts * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation * Willingness to work in person and locally Preferred (not required): * Prior advertising, media, or outside sales experience * Familiarity with local businesses or community sales * Print or digital media sales background Compensation * Base pay plus commission * Realistic opportunity to grow earnings with performance * Flexible schedule * Health insurance and paid time off available for full-time employees This role can start part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time , or be full-time for the right candidate.
