Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, manage transactions accurately, and assist customers with their shopping needs. This role is vital in creating a positive shopping experience and ensuring smooth store operations. Candidates with experience in retail sales, cashiering, or grocery stores, and strong communication skills are encouraged to apply. Bilingual abilities and supervising experience are a plus. Responsibilities * Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges * Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform accurate cash handling and cashiering duties * Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling to enhance sales opportunities * Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays * Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items * Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift * Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly * Support in supervising team members when necessary, including guiding new staff or trainees * Practice effective phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone Experience * Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred * Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for transactions and inventory management * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively * Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases * Supervising experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued * Experience in merchandising, stocking, upselling, and product demonstrations will be beneficial This role offers an engaging environment where excellent customer service and sales skills are valued.
