Outside Sales Representative Reports to: Sales Manager Department: Sales FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing and expanding an established book of business within a defined sales territory. This role focuses on strengthening existing customer relationships while proactively identifying and capturing new business opportunities. The position requires a self-motivated professional who can balance relationship management with strategic territory growth to meet and exceed sales targets. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Growth * Manage an established portfolio of accounts, maintaining regular contact and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. * Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new customer relationships within the assigned territory. * Develop and execute a territory growth plan aligned with company goals and objectives. Customer Engagement & Solutions * Communicate with customers to understand their business needs, challenges, and upcoming projects. * Recommend appropriate products, solutions, and services that deliver value and support customer success. * Provide product demonstrations, pricing quotes, and technical assistance as needed. Sales & Performance Tracking * Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales goals. * Maintain accurate records of sales activities, quotes, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM and company reporting systems. * Prepare and deliver territory performance updates and projections. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Work closely with inside sales, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and customer satisfaction. * Serve as the primary liaison between customers and the company, ensuring professional communication and problem resolution. Other Duties * Attend sales meetings, product trainings, and company events as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; or at least five years of outside sales or account management experience. * Experience in HVAC distribution, building materials, or industrial B2B sales preferred. * Experience in HVAC Equipment Sales preffered Skills & Abilities * Proven ability to manage and grow a defined sales territory. * Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. * Strong business acumen with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or ADP CRM). * Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region. Physical Requirements * Prolonged periods of driving, standing, and sitting at a computer. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally. * Must maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
