Full description of the position

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Lead Qualification Specialist to join our business development / sales team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying high-potential fire-loss opportunities through strategic outbound calling, warm calling, and engaging communication. Your expertise in B2B sales, technology sales, and customer service will help drive business development efforts and ensure a seamless transition of qualified prospects to the sales pipeline. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence growth, sharpen your negotiation skills, and work with cutting-edge CRM software to maximize outreach effectiveness. This is an independent role, not passive or heavily supervised. You will be expected to take ownership of your work, learn quickly, and creatively solve problems when information is incomplete or difficult to access. Communicating and updating notes in real time is an absolute requirement for this role. You will not be handed a perfect lead list. Instead, you will be responsible for researching fire-loss notifications, verifying details, and determining whether each opportunity is worth pursuing. Hustle, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn are essential to success in this role. Duties * Review, analyze and prioritize fire-loss notifications and alerts. * Conduct outbound calls and warm calling campaigns to prospective clients. * Research residential properties to assess ownership, occupancy, severity indicators, and restoration potential. * Qualify and prioritize leads based on quality, urgency, and likelihood of conversion. * Maintain detailed records of interactions, ensuring accurate tracking of lead status and follow-up actions. * Continuously improve your process and pitch to heighten efficiency. * Develop strong relationships through effective communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and a customer-centric approach at all times. * Maintain professionalism, build trust, demonstrate compassion and empathy given the sensitive nature of fire-loss situations. We do not hard sell, but hold all sales and marketing members to hit their numbers. Qualifications * Self-starter with strong work ethic and a high level of personal accountability; professional demeanor with high emotional intelligence. * Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. * Curiosity and a genuine desire to learn new systems, tools, and industry knowledge. * Creative problem-solving skills and persistence when answers are not obvious. * Attention to detail and good judgment. * Ability to conduct professional customer service interactions that foster trust and engagement. * Proven experience in B2B sales, inside sales, or telemarketing with a focus on technology or technical sales is a plus. * Knowledge of marketing strategies and outbound calling techniques to optimize lead qualification processes is a plus. * Familiarity with CRM software such as Hubspot or similar platforms for managing lead pipelines is a plus. * Experience in business development and understanding of sales cycles within a fast-paced environment is a plus.
