Job Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for executing the club's sales and marketing plan for events and in-house banquet operations. As the Sales Manager, you will actively solicit new clients and build guest relationships to generate event sales and own the process of event contracting, planning and execution You will be responsible for building business for the club through direct and indirect sales initiatives, including promotion and marketing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, marketing, and customer service, with a keen ability to generate leads and convert to closed business. You will collaborate closely with clients to ensure their vision is realized while maintaining budgetary constraints and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Sales Manager is responsible for negotiating event business through B2B channels, developing effective sales strategies to counter the competition, developing valuable business leadership that results in additional sales and new customers, and actively soliciting new business and responding to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable catering business with a wide range of clients. The ideal candidate has a high level of attention to detail, creative, the ability to manage multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment Skills & Qualifications * 3+ years sales experience in a similar club or hospitality setting * Demonstratable knowledge of building and executing a sales and marketing plan * Hospitality degree or completion of accredited apprenticeship program preferred * Proven ability in fast-paced, high-volume environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft office (outlook, excel, word), CRM and POS systems * Polished, professional appearance and presentation. * Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as business warrants * Highly organized and detail-oriented in planning all aspects of catered events. * Experience with CRM software and applications * Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. * Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan ahead. * Experience marketing a consumer product or service within an industry that demands speed, flexibility, and fast turnarounds.
