Job Summary Sun Gold Power is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to support and grow our customer base through responsive service, strong technical product knowledge, and effective sales execution. This role combines sales, customer service, and technical problem-solving , requiring the ability to confidently explain solar products, manage orders, de-escalate customer concerns, and drive revenue. This is a performance-driven role offering hourly pay plus a tiered, progressive commission structure. Candidates should be technically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling complex customer interactions with minimal supervision. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United States. We are currently unable to sponsor work visas. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Engagement & Sales * Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email , providing accurate information on products, pricing, and delivery * Actively follow up with warm leads, repeat customers, and outbound prospects to drive sales * Build strong client relationships and confidently close deals * Handle and de-escalate challenging customer situations professionally and effectively * Exercise sound judgment when resolving issues, escalating when appropriate Product Knowledge & Technical Support * Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of solar products , including features, benefits, and basic technical specifications * Confidently explain technical concepts to both residential and commercial customers * Assist with basic product setup and troubleshooting , with support from the engineering team * Collaborate closely with technical teams to resolve product or service issues Order Management & Coordination * Keep customers informed on order status, shipping timelines, and tracking updates * Coordinate with internal teams and carriers such as FedEx * Understand inventory availability and assist with forecasting or demand planning when needed Collaboration, Leadership & Feedback * Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Support, Warehouse, and Logistics teams * Collect and share customer feedback to support product, process, and service improvements * Demonstrate leadership qualities through accountability, communication, and problem-solving * Prior leadership or supervisory experience is a strong plus , though not required * Escalate issues to Crystal Feng or Luis Mungaray as needed Systems & Tools * Utilize internal systems * Remain open to training on ERP systems and internal sales tools Outdoor Sales & Events * Participate in outdoor sales activities, trade shows, expos, company events, and van demonstrations as needed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Answered Calls: 90% or higher * Monthly Sales Target: $100,000 minimum * Performance and commission eligibility governed by the tiered, progressive Sales Promotion and Compensation Program Qualifications & RequirementsEducation & Experience * Bachelor's degree preferred * Prior experience in technical sales, B2B sales, customer-facing technical support, or consultative sales preferred * Leadership, training, or management background is a plus Technical & Professional Skills * Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn complex products quickly * Proven ability to de-escalate customer issues and handle objections professionally * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent time management, organization, and follow-through * Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally * Bilingual abilities are a plus Technical Proficiency * Experience with CRM or ERP systems preferred * Comfortable using computers, phones, and office productivity tools Physical & Environmental Requirements * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during office hours, trade shows, or events * Ability to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs or more * Occasional travel may be required for customer visits, expos, or company events Compensation & Benefits * Hourly Base Pay: Dependent on experience * Commission: Tiered, progressive commission structure based on performance * Free electric vehicle charging * Opportunities for advancement within the sales organization About Sun Gold Power Sun Gold Power is a growing and dynamic solar energy company delivering reliable green power solutions through high-quality products and exceptional customer support.
