Job Requisition: Senior Sales Engineer Requisition Title: Senior Sales Engineer * Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our SymmetricDS product team and support the sales process by acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor to our prospective clients. This role bridges the gap between complex technical solutions and customer business needs, ensuring successful pre-sales engagements and long- term customer satisfaction. * Key Responsibilities: * Partner with sales representatives to understand client requirements and provide tailored technical solutions. * Deliver product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and technical presentations. * Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions that align with our offerings. * Lead RFP/RFI responses, solution architecture documentation, and technical proposals. * Maintain deep understanding of SymmetricDS product and industry trends to serve as a subject matter expert. * Assist with onboarding and mentoring junior sales engineers as needed. * Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams (product, engineering, support). * Support post-sales handoff to implementation teams and ensure customer success alignment. * Qualifications: Required: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). * 5-8+ years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions consulting, or pre-sales role. * Strong technical background in databases, data warehouse, data replication and integration. * Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and support enterprise customers. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Preferred: * Experience with the Java programming language. * Ability to setup and maintain docker images. * Experience with Canva to build and organize technical documents for the pre-sales process
