Full description of the position
STARTING PAY IS UP TO $55,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE. THIS WOULD INCLUDE INCENTIVE PAY. INCENTIVE PAY IS BASED OFF YOUR PERFORMANCE. You are eligible for incentive pay after your 90 day probationary period. Monday - Friday. On the M-F shift, you must be willing to assist on the weekend shift as needed. Develop Carrier Partnerships - At Big M we advocate for our carrier partners as much as we do for our customers. Our goal is to match their available capacity with the business needs of our clients. Negotiate with Motor Carriers - Your goal is to secure fair rates, ensuring all freight is covered each day. Outbound Calls - Proactively reach out to motor carriers to secure capacity and build lasting relationships. Achieve Targets - Meet or exceed load count and margin goals to qualify for monthly bonuses. Provide Updates - Offer prompt tracking and updates on all shipments. Requirements: What it Takes The most successful Logistics Specialist are numbers-driven, skilled achievers who genuinely enjoy partnering with people and their work. Minimum Required: This is a full-time position. 1+ yrs. of supply chain, customer service or logistics experience. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to cultivate effective business relationships with motor carrier partners. Growth and results-oriented with the desire to better yourself every day. 1+ yrs of experience using negotiation skills.
