Overview

The Sales Associate is responsible for driving new business, building strong client relationships, and guiding customers through the full sales process-- from initial inquiry to proposal delivery. This role requires someone who is organized, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound leads and follow up with prospective clients in a timely manner.
• Conduct on-site consultations to assess customer needs and gather job specifications.
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for docks, seawalls, boat lifts, and repair services.
• Educate customers on product options, materials, permitting requirements, and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate notes and documentation in CRM/Project Management software.
• Assist the permitting team with required site information when needed.
• Communicate project details clearly with internal teams (permitting, operations, and crews).
• Attend networking events, boat shows, and industry functions as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales cycle.

Requirements

• Prior sales experience preferred (especially construction or marine industry).
• Strong knowledge of docks, seawalls, boat lifts, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read basic construction plans or obtain measurements on-site.
• Comfortable working outdoors for site visits.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with CRM or project management software is a plus (Buildertrend, QuickBooks, etc.). Base pay provided during training; position converts to full commission after training.
