Position: Inside Sales Representative Location: Garden Grove Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Manager Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Shift: Monday through Friday Compensation: $21.00 $22.00 per hour 1. Job Summary The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts, responding to Requests for Quotes, processing purchase orders, and supporting sales growth through strong customer relationships. This role involves frequent customer communication, accurate pricing and documentation, and coordination with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. 2. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Sales & Account Management * Respond to Requests for Quotes by providing accurate pricing and lead times in accordance with departmental guidelines and Sales Manager direction * Manage assigned customer accounts and maintain ongoing sales relationships * Balance competing priorities, projects, and live customer calls Customer Support & Relationship Management * Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up * Address customer complaints and provide updates on in-process orders * Follow up on submitted quotes to support order conversion * Deliver sales presentations to key customers as needed * Provide feedback to management regarding customer requests, promotional response, and product availability Order Processing & Documentation * Review and interpret business documents, including purchase orders and special customer requirements * Perform contract review by verifying purchase order notes and specifications * Receive and create accurate documentation for customer purchase orders Communication & Coordination * Communicate effectively with customers, internal departments, and management * Collaborate with internal teams to support order accuracy and on-time delivery Professional Development * Demonstrate continuous professional development in industry knowledge, sales skills, and time management * Travel to customer locations on an occasional basis, as needed 3. Qualifications Education & Experience * Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Two to three years of sales experience, industry experience preferred * Experience in the fastener or aerospace industries preferred Technical & Professional Skills * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including applying markups, calculating discounts, tabulating gross margins, and extended revenues * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Ability to interact effectively with customers, internal teams, and management 4. Required Skills & Competencies * Knowledge of sales techniques, including promotions and cross-selling * Strong relationship-building and customer service skills * Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail * Effective time management and prioritization abilities * Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence * Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret basic graphs * Strong problem-solving skills in environments with limited standardization * Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form FTR1
