# General Summary:* # The Associate Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable growth through new markets, out-of-APR business, and emerging opportunities. This role combines people leadership with strategic business development, focused on identifying, prioritizing, and scaling new revenue streams. # This position leads a team of Account Managers responsible for business development efforts and smaller-package opportunities, while partnering closely with sales leadership, engineering, and key vendors to support market expansion and long-term growth initiatives. This role does not carry traditional account ownership, but plays a critical role in shaping strategy, enabling execution, and accelerating results across the organization. # Key Responsibilities: * ## Coaches, mentors, develops and leads assigned team members * ## Plans and executes regular one on one with assigned team members * ## In collaboration with Sales Manager * ## Creates development plan for each team member * ## Builds annual sales forecast for assigned team * ## Builds market plans * ## Executes company initiatives * ## Participate in and potentially lead sales meetings * ## Participates in responsibility for sales and marketing of Rockwell Automation and Hoffman product lines * ## Maximizes participation and relationship with members of Affiliated Distributors (AD) * ## Builds strong relationships with key vendors and stakeholders # Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * ## Intrinsic motivation to learn, grow and assume greater responsibility. * ## Desire to coach, mentor, develop and lead others. * ## Bachelor 's degree in technical or business field. *A combination of education, training, and relevant work experience will be considered in place of a bachelor 's degree. * ## Minimum 5 years sales, product and customer service experience * ## Excellent listening skills * ## Excellent written and oral communication skills. * ## Working knowledge of McNaughton-McKay business systems. # Reporting Relationships: # Reports to: Sales Manager # Direct Reports: Account Managers # Working Conditions:*Normal office environment; frequent daily travel in assigned territory, some overnight travel.*
