Job description Job Title: Sales Support Specialist Reports to: General Manager Job Summary: The Sales support specialist is an entry level position with a clear training path to inside and outside sales & marketing roles. And will have hands on responsibility for the day-to-day administration of the sales process. They will ensure that all sales support tasks are properly implemented, monitored, and report results. Assists inside and outside sales who directly engage with existing and potential customers. Tasks include, but are not limited to providing customer solutions, explaining features & benefits, handling customer concerns & objections. Which will include in- person, telephone, and written communication platforms. Essential Functions : * Endeavors to always keep the business culture's guiding principles intact. * Assists inside and outside sales in all daily sales operations to ensure policies and procedures are followed. * Assists in client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle. * Stays up to date on product knowledge, industry trends, services & customer development * Frequently updates social media posting and participates in other digital marketing activities * Performs all customer service-related tasks, e.g., phone handling, greeting and directing foot traffic, etc. * Collaborate with production to maintain, update the daily delivery schedule and keep customers informed. * Communicates customer needs, grievances, and new product ideas in a timely manner. * Regularly update the CRM, Lead tracking, forecasting, POS, sales reports, and other administrative tasks. * Assists with scheduling sales & delivery appointments as needed. * Attend trade & customer house shows as needed. Assists in organizing company open house events. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to clearly and effectively communicate. * Critical thinking skills and strong situational awareness are a must. * Ability to read customer paperwork and understand instructions. * Some experience in sales, marketing, or business development role preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. As well as other selling or marketing automation tools. Experience with SAP a plus. * Basic math skills with the ability to convert fractions to decimals. * Ability to lift 20 pounds, stand, bend, twist, and stoop during shift. Education: High school Diploma; bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or equivalent desired. Physical Demands/Working Conditions: The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% or more of the time. The person in this position must always be aware of their surroundings and be able to quickly recognize and identify potentially dangerous situations that need addressed in the shop. While in the shop, company safety requirements must be closely followed.
