Job Summary

As a Business Development Leader, you will drive sales and marketing efforts in a business-to-business environment, covering an assigned territory and building a portfolio of accounts through referrals, prospecting, and networking events. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in fast-paced construction sales and possesses a strong hunter mindset.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the company's value proposition and sales strategy to increase market share and execute the sales plan within your territory.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new business opportunities and alliances that support organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of future sales opportunities, utilizing CRM software to track progress and create a balanced portfolio.
  • Acquire new customers through cold calling, prospecting, networking, telemarketing lead follow-up, targeted marketing, and business development meetings.
  • Assess customer needs and provide Technical Sales Representatives with sufficient information to draft proposals, ensuring high conversion rates and revenue growth.
  • Maintain strong commercial client relationships, prioritizing customer service for referrals and repeat business.
  • Lead or participate in strategic opportunity reviews on assigned prospects.
  • Plan, oversee, and participate in marketing outreach, industry meetings, and trade shows as required.
  • Coordinate cost estimates on project consultations with support staff.
  • Participate in job completion financial analysis and track performance metrics.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction or industrial sales.
  • Proven experience in growing market share.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Tenacious drive to sell and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in sales tracking via CRM software.
  • Strong time management and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to travel locally as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with solid computer competency. Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • Degree in Business or Construction Management preferred but not required. Physical
Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed. Pay: $120,000.00 - $121,000.00 per year
