Full description of the position
*Job Overview: * For over a decade, Retina Labs has been a leader and innovator in teleretinal screening for diabetic eye disease. Retina Labs offers end-to-end diabetic retinopathy screening solutions for primary care practices and health systems as well as comprehensive in-home preventive care screening for health plans. Retina Labs offers a suite of in-home preventive screenings for health plans including diabetic eye exams, bone density scans, HbA1C, kidney health and colon cancer testing. We ensure that your diabetic members, particularly the most non-compliant segment of your population, receive the appropriate preventive screenings in the comfort of their home or at events we coordinate with your health plan. Our in-home screening service improves the quality of care through better disease detection and care management while making it easier and more convenient for your members to get the preventive care they need to stay healthy. We are seeking an experienced and strategic National Account Manager to lead the management and growth of an in-home preventive care program for a large, national health insurance plan customer. This role is responsible for owning the client relationship, overseeing end-to-end program performance, and ensuring the successful delivery and continuous improvement of complex, multi- state preventive care initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing large healthcare accounts, strong knowledge of home health and preventive care programs, and a data- driven approach to delivering measurable value for health plan partners. *About You: You are an experienced account manager with a proven track record of managing large, complex healthcare programs for national health plans, ideally within in-home or field-based preventive care or clinical services. You bring strong program and operational management skills, with the ability to oversee multi- region initiatives, manage vendor and partner relationships, and ensure high levels of quality, compliance, and performance. You are highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable owning results end-to-end, from planning and execution to performance monitoring and continuous improvement. You are analytically strong and technologically proficient, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and the ability to translate data into clear insights and executive-level communications. You excel at building trusted relationships with payer stakeholders, communicating effectively across clinical, operational, and executive audiences, and navigating complex challenges with a solutions-oriented, customer-first mindset. Above all, you are driven by impact -- helping patients access the care they need, when they need it, and leading a team that shares that same sense of purpose and excellence. *Why Join Us: Joining Retina Labs offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the intersection of healthcare innovation and population health. As a leading provider of diabetic eye exams and in-home preventive care, Retina Labs partners with some of the largest health plans in the country to expand access to critical screenings for people who need them most. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with one of the nation's largest health plans, managing a high-visibility program that directly improves outcomes for individuals living with diabetes. Your work will help remove barriers to care by bringing preventive services into the home, enabling earlier detection, better disease management, and improved quality of life. At Retina Labs, you'll join a mission-driven organization where your leadership, expertise, and ideas can drive real change and help shape the future of more accessible, equitable preventive healthcare. *Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management * Serve as the primary point of contact for the health plan client, fostering a trusted, long-term partnership through proactive communication, strategic guidance, and consistent execution of program objectives. Lead regular client meetings and calls to review program performance, address issues, and align on priorities, risks, and opportunities. * *Program Oversight & Execution * Oversee all facets of the in-home preventive care screening program, from planning and implementation to ongoing optimization. * Collaborate closely with internal operations, clinical, call center and field teams to ensure high-quality program delivery, efficient field operations, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Ensure program alignment with client goals, population health strategies, HEDIS and Stars improvement initiatives, and compliance requirements. * *Performance Management & Reporting * Track program KPIs and performance and utilization metrics, analyze data, and identify trends to evaluate program effectiveness. * Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations that demonstrate program value and outcomes. Translate analytics into actionable insights and recommendations to improve performance, engagement, and efficiency. * *Strategic Growth & Account Expansion * Identify opportunities to expand services, enhance patient engagement, and drive growth within the account. * Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and present strategic recommendations that support the client's evolving needs and business objectives. Continuous Improvement * Proactively identify risks, issues, and operational challenges, and work cross-functionally to develop and implement solutions. Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance program outcomes, client satisfaction, and scalability. * *Required Qualifications: * Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large-scale programs and client accounts in the healthcare or health services industry. * Prior experience with home health, in-home services, and/or preventive care programs. * Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to manage complex, multi-state initiatives. * Strong understanding of preventive care, population health, and healthcare compliance standards. * Demonstrated success managing large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and operational dependencies. * Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field ( *Master 's degree an asset *). * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Data-driven mindset , with the ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into action. * Advanced computer skills with a high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite , particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including data analysis, reporting, and executive-level presentations. * Highly organized and self-motivated self-starter , with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and drive initiatives forward with minimal oversight. * Must be located in the United States. * This role requires the ability to work effectively from a home office and to collaborate with internal teams, field operations, and health plan partners across all U.S. time zones, with the flexibility to support a national program. *Preferred Attributes: * Experience working with national or regional health insurance plans. * Knowledge of the health plan industry , including HEDIS and Stars performance improvement. * Comfort presenting to senior and executive-level client stakeholders.
