Client Sales & Support Specialist Location: Timonium, MD (Primarily in-office; occasional WFH flexibility for the right candidate) About VetBilling VetBilling is on a mission to expand access to veterinary care by helping clinics offer flexible, manageable payment solutions to their clients. We're a small, mission-driven team looking for a Client Sales & Support Specialist who thrives at the intersection of relationship-building, problem-solving, and purpose-driven work. About the Role This role is equal parts client partnership, education, and proactive outreach. You'll work closely with veterinary clinics to help them successfully implement and optimize VetBilling's payment solutions -- through training, data-driven insights, and ongoing support. You'll also engage in outbound outreach (including cold calls) in response to pet owner referrals, re-engage clinics, and help clinics translate financial tools into real-world access to care. This is not a transactional sales role. It's a relationship-based role for someone who enjoys helping people succeed -- and isn't afraid to pick up the phone to do it. What We 're Looking For The ideal candidate is: * Mission-aligned and motivated by work that improves access to care * People-centered, with a warm, confident communication style * Curious and coachable, with an interest in developing deep knowledge of VetBilling's platform and services * Comfortable with proactive outreach, including cold calling and KPI-driven activity * Analytical and thoughtful, able to translate data into practical guidance for clinics Core Responsibilities Clinic Partnership & Success * Build strong working relationships with partner clinics to understand their needs and challenges * Proactively support clinics in increasing payment plan adoption and utilization * Re-engage VetBilling clinics and address barriers to effective implementation * Present clinic feedback and insights to internal leadership to help refine offerings Outreach & Sales Support * Conduct outbound calls and email outreach to veterinary clinics following pet owner referrals * Meet activity and retention KPIs related to clinic engagement * Use consultative, relationship-based communication to identify opportunities Training & Education * Conduct onboarding and training sessions to familiarize clinic staff with VetBilling's services, ensure fluent platform navigation, and effectively communicate payment options to clients * Educate staff on VetBilling's financial impact * Build confidence and comfortability so clinics can effectively communicate payment options to clients Data & Collaboration * Analyze clinic performance reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement * Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and payment support teams * Participate in weekly internal operations meetings covering product updates, strategy, and events Additional Responsibilities * Provide phone support to pet owners as needed (payment questions, contract updates, taking payments) * Represent VetBilling at tradeshows and industry events to build awareness and relationships Required Skills & Experience * Proven success in roles involving outbound outreach, cold calling, and KPI-based retention goals * Strong interpersonal, communication, and active-listening skills * Comfort leading Zoom-based trainings and presentations * Ability to analyze reports, draw conclusions, and offer actionable recommendations * Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Zoom Plus / Strong Advantage * Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic (clinical, administrative, or management) * Familiarity with clinic workflows, PMS systems, invoicing, and reconciliation * Experience in customer success, sales, or marketing within veterinary, B2B, or SaaS environments * Proficiency with Salesforce Lightning, Slack, VOIP systems For candidates who are interested, there may be future opportunities to assist with marketing or digital content projects.
