Area Director of Sales Hilton Branded Hotels | Charlottesville, VA Mid- to Upper-Scale Portfolio (3 Hotels) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Area Director of Sales to lead the commercial strategy for a three-hotel Hilton portfolio in the Charlottesville, VA market. This role is responsible for driving top-line revenue growth, developing corporate and group demand, and executing Hilton-aligned sales strategies across all properties. The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader with a proven track record in Hilton systems, strong local market knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic planning with active selling. Key Responsibilities * Lead and execute the overall sales strategy for three Hilton-branded hotels * Drive corporate negotiated rates, group, SMERF, and local account production * Personally solicit and maintain relationships with top local and regional accounts * Ensure full utilization of Hilton sales tools and systems (RFPs, CRM, brand platforms) * Partner with General Managers and Revenue Management to align pricing, demand, and mix * Conduct weekly sales meetings and pipeline reviews with property sales leaders * Develop and manage annual sales plans, budgets, and forecasts * Track and report sales performance against goals; adjust strategy as needed * Represent the hotels at local networking events, chambers, CVB functions, and trade shows * Mentor and develop on-property sales team members Qualifications * Minimum 5+ years of hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-property or senior sales role * Hilton brand experience strongly preferred * Proven success driving corporate and group revenue in a competitive market * Strong understanding of STR, market segmentation, and revenue strategies * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills * Ability to work independently while leading cross-functional teams * Proficiency with hotel sales systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office * Local or regional market knowledge of Charlottesville/Central Virginia is a strong plus What We Offer * Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus * Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision) * Hilton travel discounts * Growth opportunity within an expanding hotel organization * Autonomy and influence over a meaningful, multi-property portfolio Work Location Charlottesville, VA (multi-property, on-site with local travel) How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your resume and a brief summary of your multi- property or Hilton sales experience.
