Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a welcoming store atmosphere * Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities * Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing * Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices * Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, offering product recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction * Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels and assisting with stock replenishment as needed * Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting remote customers * Support sales initiatives through upselling techniques and promoting current promotions or new products * Assist in training new team members or supervising junior staff to ensure smooth store operations Qualifications * Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or specialty retail environments * Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions * Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus * Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required * Strong organizational skills for merchandising, stocking, and inventory management * Ability to demonstrate product demos confidently and educate customers effectively * Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices in a retail setting * Basic math skills necessary for cash register operations and sales calculations * Basic cleaning skills, such as mopping, glass cleaning, ect.
