The Black Swan GroupBusiness Development Representative Location: This is predominantly remote. There is a requirement to meet in person which varies weekly. If require 100% remote please do not apply. The Black Swan Group is a premier firm specializing in negotiation training and advisory services. Our clients include professionals and organizations worldwide who want to close deals faster, strengthen relationships, and make better decisions. Our team includes world-class negotiation experts, led by Chris Voss, the former FBI lead hostage negotiator. We're looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who will qualify inbound leads, nurture early-stage opportunities, and support outreach campaigns that drive new business. This is a client-facing role that requires excellent communication skills, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to apply The Black Swan Method to build trust and move prospects forward. Compensation and Benefits: * The base salary for this role is $55,000, with an OTE of $100,000. * Commission structure will be available during the interview process. * There is no quota! Success is measured on revenue collected and demonstrable improvement and growth. Training: * New hires start with a 30-day training program that includes Black Swan Methodology, CRM, products and services. The training combines 1:1 instruction and self paced learning. * The BDR will also have access to recorded classes, MasterClass, and additional resources. * Health/dental/vision coverage begins on day 90, and we offer 15 federal holidays + 10 PTO (gifted, not accrued) + 5 Sick days. * We also provide a limited medical reimbursement program. Key Responsibilities * Qualify inbound leads and nurture prospects through the early stages of the sales funnel * Partner with logistics and instructional teams to ensure seamless handoffs of qualified opportunities * Support webinar lead generation efforts through attendee follow-up and qualification * Maintain accurate CRM (Hubspot) records of all prospect interactions and pipeline activity * Apply Black Swan Methodology (Tactical Empathy, Accusations Audit, No-oriented questions, Proof of Life) in conversations with prospects * Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly goals for qualified opportunities and pipeline growth What You Bring * 2-4 years of experience in B2B or B2C sales, lead generation, or business development (service-based business preferred) * Proven success meeting or exceeding activity metrics and pipeline targets * Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management * Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport quickly * Comfort with technology tools including CRM and marketing automation platforms * Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a remote environment * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, related field, or equivalent professional experience * Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic or international; minimal expected) Our Core Values * Do the Right Thing * Pursuit of Excellence * Team First * Follow Instructions Until You Find a Better Way * Have an Abundant Mindset * Have a Sense of Humor The Application Process This role requires commitment and measurable progress from the start.
