Business Development Manager (BDC) - Mercedes-Benz of Music City Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for developing high-performing teams and driving business results? Mercedes-Benz of Music City is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDC) to lead our Business Development Center (BDC). If you have a strong background in automotive management, a proven ability to mentor teams, and a focus on continuous improvement, this could be the opportunity for you! Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the daily operations of the Business Development Center, focusing on maximizing productivity and performance. Oversee the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and development of BDC personnel to ensure a high-functioning and motivated team. Ensure the BDC team efficiently handles all incoming calls and schedules all service appointments, delivering exceptional customer service. Monitor CRM activities including user setups, sales permissions, and customer engagement, ensuring effective management of leads and customer interactions. Drive sales and service initiatives by coordinating Mastermind activities, monitoring phone training, and analyzing sales opportunities. Collaborate with department leaders to maintain system settings, service capacities, and overall BDC processes. Provide regular reporting to management on BDC performance, including call activity, service appointments, gross sales metrics, and customer engagement outcomes. Act as the communication bridge between BDC staff and dealership management, ensuring alignment with overall dealership goals. Support ongoing team development through coaching opportunities, training material management, and performance evaluations. Maintain and manage processes for chat leads, service deferments, and customer communications, ensuring consistent and timely follow-up. Foster a positive, results-oriented culture within the BDC, motivating the team to achieve and exceed goals. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of BDC Manager experience. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to develop, mentor, and motivate teams. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in CRM management, with a deep understanding of sales and service processes. Experience with reporting metrics, identifying trends, and implementing improvements. Ability to collaborate with all levels of dealership management and build strong working relationships.
