This is not an entry-level position. Landers McLarty, a premier DCJR dealership in the Huntsville area, is searching for a "heavy hitter" to lead our truck sales. We are looking for a Senior Truck Sales Professional who lives, breathes, and understands trucks-- especially the Ram lineup--inside and out. If you are a top-performing sales consultant with a proven, documented track record of selling trucks and are looking to maximize your earning potential at a high-volume, high-traffic dealership, we want to talk to you. You will be our go-to expert for Ram 1500s, Heavy Duty (2500/3500), and commercial trucks. We provide the inventory, the traffic, and the compensation plan--you bring the expertise, the work ethic, and the results. Key Responsibilities: Spearhead the sales process for our new and pre-owned truck inventory, focusing on the Ram and Jeep truck lineup. Act as the lead product knowledge expert on all truck models, including light-duty, heavy-duty, and commercial vehicles. Expertly demonstrate truck capabilities, features, and benefits (e.g., towing capacities, payload, diesel vs. gas, trim levels). Cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of truck-focused customers, including small business owners, contractors, and fleet managers. Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales targets for truck sales and gross profit. Provide a best-in-class customer experience, building long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business. Utilize our CRM tools effectively to manage all leads, follow-ups, and customer data. Qualifications & Requirements: Minimum 3-5 years of automotive sales experience IS REQUIRED. A proven and verifiable track record of high performance in TRUCK SALES is essential. (Top 10% performance preferred). Deep technical knowledge of trucks (powertrains, towing, trims, and competitor products like Ford and GM) Experience working with commercial clients, small business owners, or fleet sales is a major plus. A "closer" mentality with polished, professional communication and negotiation skills. Self-motivated, high-energy, and driven to be the best.
