Needham Decorative hardware is a leading provider of high-quality decorative hardware, lighting, and plumbing fixtures. We are looking for a dedicated Decorative Hardware Sales Associate to join our team. Job Description: Full time position only, no applicants for seasonal or part time help. This is a unique sales position, where each team member manages their assigned trade accounts . Part of the day-to-day is reviewing hardware schedules, navigating floor plans, specifying the hardware/ lighting/ plumbing fixtures for each project. Sales members see their entire project through, from start to finish: appointment>creating quotes>placing orders> receiving orders. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated individual, who wants hands on experience in the building/ design world. Compensation negotiable, based on experience Key Responsibilities: * Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Listen to their needs and provide expert advice on decorative hardware options. * Product Knowledge: Develop in-depth knowledge of our product lines, including finishes, materials, and designs, to guide customers effectively. * Sales: Identify customer requirements, recommend suitable products, and close sales efficiently. Upsell and cross-sell to maximize revenue. * Order Processing: Handle customer orders, provide order status updates * Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive work environment and contribute to the store's success. Qualifications: * Previous experience in retail sales, particularly in decorative hardware, lighting, plumbing, or related fields is preferred, not required * Excellent customer service and communication skills. * Strong product knowledge and the ability to convey technical information in an understandable manner. * A passion for interior design and an eye for aesthetics. * Basic computer skills is a must. Powerpoint, Word, Excel. * Trained in Quickbooks is a plus, not required * Reliable, responsible, and a team player.
