Company: A.R. Wakefield Logistics Location: Remote (covering up to 200 miles from the Port of Baltimore) Compensation: $50,000 base salary + commission (see structure below) About Us A.R. Wakefield Logistics is a growing logistics company specializing in drayage, intermodal, and container transportation services. We are committed to providing reliable and efficient solutions to our customers while building long-lasting relationships in the transportation industry. We are seeking a motivated Drayage Logistics Sales Associate to join our team. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities for intermodal/container services out of the Port of Baltimore, covering a 200-mile radius. Key Responsibilities * Develop and grow a personal book of business by generating new customer leads in drayage and intermodal/container trucking. * Manage and strengthen relationships with shippers, freight brokers, 3PLs, and freight forwarders. * Sell A.R. Wakefield Logistics' services within assigned territory (200-mile radius of the Port of Baltimore). * Negotiate pricing and contracts within company guidelines. * Collaborate with the Baltimore Terminal Manager on capacity planning and service execution. * Maintain accurate sales activity and customer data in CRM software. * Travel as needed to meet clients and prospects (mileage and gas reimbursed). Compensation & Commission Structure * Base Salary: $50,000 per year. * Commission Tiers (January -December each year): * Up to $250,000 in gross sales -> 50% of net margin (up to $20,000). * $250,001-$500,000 in gross sales -> 30% of net margin (up to $12,000). * $500,001-$1,000,000 in gross sales -> 15% of net margin. * Above $1,000,000 in gross sales -> 12.5% of net margin. * Ownership of Accounts: Sales associates retain commission rights for each customer for 18 months after onboarding. Example: A sales associate who personally generates $1,000,000 in gross sales within a calendar year would earn $44,000 in commission in addition to the $50,000 base salary. Qualifications * 2+ years of drayage/intermodal sales experience required. * Proven track record of generating new sales and growing accounts. * Strong network of industry contacts in drayage and intermodal preferred. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a remote role. * Must pass a background check. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for customer meetings. * Must reside in the greater Baltimore/Washington DC area for sales travel when required.
