Sales Associate - Key Holder - Diamond Wish Jewelry Boutique - Newport Beach Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time key holder position reporting directly to the Sales & Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and driven individual with a talent for building strong client relationships and a genuine appreciation for fine jewelry. Sales Associates will play a vital role in creating a luxurious and memorable experience for our clients. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, showcasing our exquisite jewelry collections, and achieving individual sales targets. This role requires a strong understanding of luxury sales, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations. As a Sales Associate you will guide the customer through the life of the sale through all sales channels including: in-person, virtual appointment, phone, or live-chat! These team members assist our customers in finding their best jewelry match from our luxury product line and custom design offerings. The ideal candidate will be available full-time hours and be flexible to work within our hours of operation. This is an on-site position for our location in Newport Beach, CA. The average salary for this position is between $30-$35 hourly, based on experience. Sales incentives include commission and monthly bonus potential for exceeding personal sales targets. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Customer Service: * Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and trust with clients. * Guide clients through our collections, offering expert advice and personalized recommendations. * Showcase the unique features and benefits of our jewelry pieces. * Assist clients with purchases, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable sales experience. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. * Cultivate long-term relationships with clients through follow-up and personalized communication. Product Knowledge & Sales Techniques: * Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our jewelry collections, including diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and design styles. * Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge. * Utilize effective sales techniques to close deals and achieve sales targets. * Understand and explain pricing, warranties, and other relevant information. Store Operations & Key Holder Responsibilities: * Open and close the store according to established procedures. * Maintain a visually appealing and organized sales floor. * Assist with inventory management, including receiving, displaying, and tracking merchandise. * Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. * Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including security protocols. * Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers and staff. Client Relationship Management: * Build and maintain client profiles, tracking preferences and purchase history. * Proactively reach out to clients for special occasions and promotions. * Assist with client events and trunk shows. * Contribute to building a strong client base for the store. Teamwork & Communication: * Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve store goals. * Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues. * Participate in team meetings and training sessions. Other Sales Key Holder Tasks: * Assist with special projects as needed. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a luxury environment. * Passion for fine jewelry and a strong understanding of diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals is a plus. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. * Strong sales acumen and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. * Strong organizational and time-management skills. * Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills. * High school diploma or equivalent required; GIA certification a plus.
