Job Description

Business Development Manager - New England Location: Boston, MA (New England Region) We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to maintain and grow our business across retail stores throughout the New England region , with a primary focus on Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Experience in novelty, gift, or similar retail sales is strongly preferred. This role is responsible for all sales functions within an assigned territory, including developing new business, managing existing customer relationships, and delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Functions

• Secure orders from existing and prospective customers through in-person visits and phone communication.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to quote on customer requirements.
• Follow up on submitted quotations via phone and/or in-person visits.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with key customer contacts, including purchasing, quality assurance, management, and other decision-makers.
• Perform all assigned duties within the designated sales territory (MA, RI, CT, ME, VT, NH).
• Provide weekly call reports and activity updates to the VP of Sales. Additional

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 -3 years of field sales experience, preferably in novelty, gift, or a comparable retail industry.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency and strong time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively by car throughout the New England region.
• Proven record of independence and success in a sales environment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Compensation

• Base salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
