Paramount Exclusive Insurance Services, Inc. Job Description Job Title: Group Health Insurance Agent Department: Sales Summary: Responsible for account managing various accounts within the agency. Service existing accounts and successfully retain and create new Group Health accounts. Would need to sell P&C and Group Health Insurance policies. The role requires expertise in personal and commercial property insurance, liability, and the intricacies of employer-sponsored health benefits. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals to grow the client base. * Assessing client needs, recommending and selling suitable policies, managing client relationships through service and renewals, ensuring compliance, and assisting with the claims process. * Present quotes and proposals that clearly explain policy options, coverage limits, and premium costs for both P&C and group health products. * Cross-sell and upsell additional products, such as adding auto coverage for a client with a homeowner's policy or life and disability coverage to a company's health benefits. * Develop and maintain professional relationships with prospective and existing clients. * Work in line with company policies, procedures and regulations when carrying out sales. * Call prospective clients by operating company telephone and computer program. * Knowledge of Carrier Appetites. * Shop current and prospective client policies with multiple markets and present quotes. * Follow up with underwriters negotiating rates, providing additional information, and binding policies. * Directing the service needs to the supporting departments throughout the policy term which includes rate questions, carrier questions, policy questions, claim maintenance, advise client where to classify employees, assist with carrier audits, etc. * In person meetings/travel to see clients is required. * Maintain monthly sales quotas. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * High School Diploma or GED. * Must possess active and valid state licenses for both Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance. * Must have background/experience with writing insurance to Group Health businesses. * Understanding P&C and Health Insurance coverage details is essential. * Track record of being results driven, persistent, and motivated to make sales. * Effectively manage time. * Ability to meet call volume and sales quotas. * Strong Interpersonal skills, communication skills, customer services-oriented sales experience, and analytical skills are required. * Must keep up with product knowledge. * Experience working in a business professional environment. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, & Microsoft Excel. Have an average typing speed of 65 to 75 WPM. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. For new hires, your performance will be evaluated during your first 90 days of employment. * Efficiency: Convert at least 10 interested leads a week. * Quantity: Submit at least 10 opportunities within the first 90 days of employment. * Productivity: Make 500 calls per week * After the probation period, always maintain an active pipeline of at least 5 opportunities per calendar month. * After the probation period, meet monthly sales goals.
