Job Summary Grand Legacy at the Park Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Group / Convention Sales to lead and grow our group and convention business. This position is currently structured as a three-day-per-week role, with the opportunity to revisit and expand hours in the future based on business needs and performance. This role focuses on actively bringing new group business to the hotel, building strong relationships, and driving room revenue. The ideal candidate is confident, organized, proactive, and comfortable prospecting and closing new business. Key Responsibilities * Actively seek out and secure new group and convention business for the Hotel * Build relationships with companies, organizations, associations, event planners, and group leaders * Prospect new accounts through calls, emails, networking, and in-person visits * Respond to group inquiries, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close bookings * Conduct hotel tours for prospective group and convention clients * Work closely with the General Manager and hotel leadership to ensure successful group execution * Keep organized and accurate records of sales activity, contacts, and bookings * Attend networking events, sales calls, and industry events as needed * Maintain flexible weekday hours to accommodate client meetings, site tours, and sales activity Qualifications * 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on group or convention sales * Proven ability to bring in new business, not just manage existing accounts * Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills * Comfortable working independently and meeting sales goals * Results-driven, self-motivated, and highly organized Requirements * Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via electronic communication * Ability to use standard office equipment, including a computer, phone, and presentation tools * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time as needed * Ability to ascend and descend stairs * Occasional lifting or carrying of light materials (generally up to 10-15 pounds), such as marketing materials or a laptop * May require occasional travel to client sites, conventions, or industry events Why Join Grand Legacy at the Park Hotel * Competitive pay with bonus and commission opportunities * Cash incentives available * Flexible three-day-per-week schedule to start * Opportunity to grow the role and hours over time * Supportive ownership and leadership team * Long-term career growth within the hospitality industry Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 24 per week Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Paid time off Application Question(s): * Please take the Enneagram personality test and list your top Enneagram number and wing.
