OVERVIEW FARNEAR DESIGN is a boutique interior design studio specializing in high-end residential and select commercial projects, with a strong cross-border design and sourcing platform. We are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Director to lead our U.S. market growth from our Laguna Beach office. This is a client-facing, market-driven leadership role focused on expanding FARNEAR DESIGN's presence within the local Southern California luxury design, furniture, and real estate ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the U.S. high-end consumer market, strong local industry connections, and a proven ability to generate and close business in design- related fields. This role works closely with the founding team and design leadership, translating design capabilities into commercially successful projects and long-term client relationships. RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead and execute sales strategies to grow FARNEAR DESIGN's presence in the U.S. high-end residential and commercial interior design market. * Build, maintain, and expand relationships with local homeowners, luxury real estate agents, developers, and industry partners. * Promote and sell custom furniture, interior decor, FF&E packages, artwork, and design-related services. * Develop and oversee marketing initiatives, including brand campaigns, showroom strategies, exhibitions, events, and strategic partnerships. * Drive lead generation through both online and offline channels, including networking, referrals, and targeted outreach. * Collaborate with the design team to align sales strategy with project offerings, pricing structures, and brand positioning. * Represent FARNEAR DESIGN professionally at industry events, trade shows, client meetings, and local networking functions. * Track sales performance, prepare reports, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to the leadership team. REQUIREMENTS * 3+ years of experience in sales, business development or marketing within relevant industries, such as: luxury furniture; interior design / FF&E; home decor & soft furnishings; art, gallery, or collectible design; luxury retail or high-end lifestyle brands. * Strong understanding of the U.S. local market , consumer behavior, and business culture, particularly within high-end or design-driven sectors. * Excellent English communication, presentation and negotiation skills. * Proven ability to build trust with high-end clientele and successfully close deals. * Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance brand-building and revenue generation. * Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. * Mandarin Chinese or another second-language proficiency is a plus, but not required. * Ability to work on-site at our Laguna Beach office; valid U.S. work authorization required.
