Solar Sales Consultant (Retail & In-Home) Job Overview We are seeking a driven, motivated, and people-focused Solar Sales Consultant (Retail & In-Home) to join our growing team. In this role, you will engage directly with homeowners to educate them on solar energy solutions, assess their energy needs, and present customized options that help them save money while transitioning to clean, renewable energy. Our consultants also benefit from an exclusive retail partnership , allowing them to generate high- quality leads directly from retail locations. Door knocking is NOT REQUIRED but is available as an option for reps who want to increase their volume and earning potential. As a key representative of our company, you will play a vital role in expanding our presence in the community while helping homeowners make smarter energy decisions. Responsibilities * Work scheduled shifts at partnered retail locations to engage homeowners and generate qualified solar leads * Schedule and conduct in-home solar consultations * Educate homeowners on solar benefits, incentives, and financing options * Assess customer energy usage and property suitability to design customized solar solutions * Address questions and objections professionally and confidently * Negotiate agreements and close sales * Utilize company software to manage leads, follow-ups, and sales activity * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline status * Collaborate with leadership and marketing teams on growth initiatives * Attend and actively participate in weekly sales meetings, training sessions, and roleplays * Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the entire sales process Qualifications * Experience in outside sales, in-home sales, retail sales, or energy sales (solar experience preferred, not required) * Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills * Comfortable generating your own leads through retail and/or door-to-door outreach * Self-motivated, disciplined, and results-driven * Professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset * Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule * Bilingual or multilingual candidates strongly encouraged * Background in leadership, marketing, or team development is a plus Compensation & Opportunity * Commission-only, performance-based compensation * Uncapped earning potential * Income directly tied to individual effort and production * High performers have significant six-figure earning potential Why Join Us? * Partnered with Freedom Forever -- the #1 residential solar installer in the U.S. * Exclusive retail locations for consistent lead generation * Optional door knocking to increase volume and income * Structured training, mentorship, and weekly sales meetings * Fast-growing industry with long-term career advancement Ideal Candidate This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a performance-driven environment, enjoys face-to-face sales, and wants full control over their income while being backed by a proven platform and industry-leading installer.
