Full description of the position

STAG Partners is a leading multifamily renovation and improvement company that operates across various markets. We are looking for an experienced Regional General Manager to grow and oversee our business in the market. As the Regional General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales, operations, profit and loss, customer relationships, team, compliance, reporting and analysis, strategic planning, business development, and budget management for your market. General Manager Reports to: Regional Vice President (RVP) Direct Reports: Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Operations Staff Position Summary: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, financial, and client relationship aspects of construction projects within their designated region. This role ensures that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, the General Manager represents the company at industry events, fostering relationships that promote business growth and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 1. Operational & Project Management: * Project Oversight: Manage regional operations to ensure that project timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently met. * Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of materials, equipment, and manpower to optimize project efficiency. * Subcontractor Coordination: Select and manage subcontractors, ensuring that their work aligns with project requirements and quality standards. * Financial Review: Regularly assess project financials, forecasts, and compliance measures to maintain fiscal responsibility. * Client Events: Organize and manage client events and trade shows within the market to enhance client engagement and company visibility. 2. Business Development & Client Relations: * Primary Contact: Serve as the main liaison for clients, vendors, and industry partners, ensuring clear and effective communication. * Client Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to build and maintain long-term client relationships. * Industry Representation: Actively represent the company at Apartment Association meetings and trade events to stay abreast of industry trends and opportunities. * Growth Collaboration: Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales and Marketing to identify and pursue opportunities for business growth. 3. Workforce & Safety Management: * Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment. * Team Supervision: Oversee the training, hiring, and performance evaluations of team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. * Career Development: Support the professional growth of field and project management staff through mentorship and development programs. 4. Quality Assurance: * Standards Enforcement: Maintain high-quality standards across all projects, ensuring that work meets or exceeds client expectations. * Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle promptly and effectively. 5. Financial Management: * Budget Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved. * Cost Control: Implement measures to control costs and improve profitability without compromising quality. Qualifications: * Experience: * Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects. * Skills: * Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of successfully managing large teams. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members. * Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure. * Certifications: * Relevant professional certifications in construction management or project management are advantageous.
