Responsibilities: - Prepare and complete tax returns for individuals and businesses - Review financial records, such as income statements and balance sheets, to ensure accuracy - Compute taxes owed and prepare tax forms, ensuring compliance with tax laws - Identify potential tax credits and deductions to minimize clients' tax liability - Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer any tax-related questions - Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations - Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards Skills: - Proficient in using LACERTE tax preparation software - Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail - Knowledge of accounting principles and practices - Ability to analyze financial data and interpret tax laws - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks - Familiarity with market trends in financial sales and public accounting Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
