Operations Manager (Insurance Industry Experience Preferred) About Us We are a growing independent insurance agency writing personal, commercial, and health/benefits lines. Our business is scaling, and we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager who understands how an insurance agency functions and can support day-to-day operations, payroll, commissions, HR admin, onboarding, and systems. This is a hands-on role with room for growth. Job Responsibilities Operations & Administration * Process payroll and maintain HR documentation * Process commissions for producers and internal departments * Maintain reporting, dashboards, and agency metrics * Assist with compliance and record-keeping Onboarding & Producer Support * Coordinate onboarding for new employees/producers * Set up systems access (AMS, CRM, phone, email, payroll, carrier portals) * Assist with credentialing and carrier appointments Systems & Technical Support * Support agency systems (AMS, CRM, phone system, HRIS, payroll tools) * Troubleshoot minor system issues and escalate when needed * Maintain vendor relationships and system logins Cross-Department Coordination * Work alongside producers, account managers, and leadership * Support recruiting, interviews, and scheduling as needed * Help improve workflows and operational efficiency as the agency grows Required Qualifications * Insurance industry experience required (agency, carrier, MGA, brokerage, or TPA) * Experience with payroll and/or commissions processing * Experience with HR administration or employee onboarding * Strong organizational and follow-through skills * Comfortable with multiple systems and platforms * Ability to handle confidential information professionally Preferred Experience (Not Required) * Experience with AMS (Applied, Vertafore, QQ, Hawksoft, AMS360, etc.) * Experience with Medicare/ACA contracting or appointments * HRIS or payroll software experience * EOS or Traction operating framework exposure Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is: * System-savvy * Organized and reliable * Takes initiative without waiting for direction * Growth-oriented and willing to learn * Strong team player * High integrity with confidential information Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Vision insurance Experience: * Operations: 3 years (Required) * Insurance Operations : 3 years (Preferred) Work Location: In personSWFL Insurance
