Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional service to our customers, managing transactions efficiently, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be comfortable handling cash, and have a passion for retail sales. Bilingual abilities and previous supervisory experience are a plus, but not required. This position offers an engaging environment where teamwork and customer satisfaction are prioritized. Duties * Operate POS systems accurately to process customer transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments * Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or concerns * Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or product demos to enhance sales * Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability * Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits * Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment and merchandising activities * Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience * Assist with supervising team members when necessary, supporting store operations during peak hours * Uphold store policies regarding phone etiquette and overall professionalism during interactions Skills * Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for accurate cashiering and retail math calculations * Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and active listening * Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a customer-first approach * Experience in merchandising, stocking, and retail sales environments such as grocery stores or general retail stores * Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively * Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles within the team * Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly in a fast-paced setting * Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy working in retail environments that value teamwork, communication, and customer satisfaction.
